Writing , Reading and Memorizing
Writing itself its not that hard. You can line up words next to each other make a phrase then a sentence and then a paragraph, give a little bit spice to it and BOOM, you wrote something.
What makes writing hard is Writing about something . For example writing a goodbye card for a colleague or your boss. I found it so hard. I had to think 5 minutes about how to write and what to write and at the end I felt It became so awkward . For people whose English is the second language like me is even harder. They need to do spell check and also grammar check all the time. I owe my professional life to the spell checks and grammar checks when I am writing, emailing or a texting.
“If you read more, you can write better or speaks better”. I’ve heard this many times from almost all English speakers . lets dig a little bit into it and see why it is so important that you read more if you want to write more or speak a little more intelligent or using a little bit professional vocabulary . reading is a direct relation if you read more you can write more . Bad news,when you read something you only remember 10% of it so when you read more you are increasing this percentage.
If you want to memorize something you need to read the same thing 3 to 4 times. According to Nobel winning physicist Richard Feynman, if you want to remember something more, try to explain it in the basic way. Teaching is one of the ways helping you to remember things more And also reading loud while you study is another helpful way to keep information in your memory.It seems brain records information while hearing something in a different way of when your eyes looking at it. So when you read loud, brain records 2 different signals at the time and helps with your memorization .
So , this is really important, by reading, adding to your knowledge consistently.This helps you to be able to engage in the different conversation. Talking sharp ,writing neat and professional and having satisfying social life.
